Story lines

• No. 18 Baylor returns home for a primetime matchup with No. 12/11 Iowa State on ESPN2.

• Saturday is the 48th all-time series meeting – with Baylor holding a 24-23 series advantage.

• The Bears will begin a stretch of four-straight games against teams currently ranked in the AP Top-25, with three of those squads ranked in the top-15.

• Since 2015, Baylor is 14-6 against the Cyclones, and while ISU is riding a three-game winning streak, it was preceded by a six-game Baylor win streak.

• The Bears are 4-1 when facing the Cyclones in a matchup where both teams are ranked in the AP Poll.

• BU has won eight of the last nine and is 17-3 all time against the Cyclones in Waco.

• This series has been dominated by the home team, from 2002-2013 the home-standing team won went 13-0.

• In the last meeting, the Cyclones eliminated the Bears in the 2023 Big 12 Championship Quarterfinals despite a career day from Jalen Bridges, who scored 28 points while setting a Big 12 Tournament record for 3-pt FG % (7-8, .875).

• Bridges is coming off a 12-point game against UCF where he scored his 1,000th career point. The senior will be recognized for his milestone prior to Saturday's game.

• Despite trailing for 30:58 and getting down by as many as 10-points, the Bears snapped a three-game losing streak with a 77-69 win at UCF.

• Baylor's 10-point deficit against UCF is the largest deficit overcome in a win this season, and its largest since erasing a 14-point first-half deficit in a win over Texas last season (2/25/24).

• Baylor is 28-12 against ranked teams over the last four seasons, with 12 of those wins coming at home.

• BU's three overtime games are its most in a season since 2013-14, and has not played three overtimes games in regular-season conference play since 1994.

• The Bears are fifth in the nation in 3-point FG% (40.2), fourth in offensive efficiency (122.6), while leading the Big 12 in points per game (84.7).

• Baylor's 310-122 record since 2011-12 trails only Kansas (349-90) among Big 12 teams.

• BU's 58-21 Big 12 record over the last five seasons is the second best record of any power-conference team during that span.

• The Bears have now been ranked in the top-10 for a fifth-straight year, one of just four programs (Duke, Gonzaga and Kansas) to accomplish that feat.

• Ranked in the AP Top-25 for 22-straight weeks, BU is riding the nation's eighth-longest active streak and the third-longest in the Big 12 (Houston 76, Kansas 55).

• Langston Love is averaging 15.1 points per game in Big 12 play, most in the league among non-starters.

• BU has had six players win Big 12 Sixth-Man of the Year, no other conference school has more than two.

• Yves Missi scored a team and career-best 25 points to go along with his 9 rebounds.

• RayJ Dennis ranks second in the Big 12  in assists per game (6.6), with the Bears getting 14.9 points per game from Ja'Kobe Walter to lead the offense, the most among Big 12 Conference freshmen.
