LADY LUCK INVITATIONAL FINAL RESULTS<https://scoreboard.clippd.com/tournaments/239886/scoring/team>

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – While senior Silje Ohma shot her third-straight solid round, the rest of the 19th-ranked Baylor women’s golf team had no such luck.

Falling back two more spots with a score of 19-over 307 in Tuesday’s final round, the Bears finished a disappointing 10th place in UNLV’s Lady Luck Invitational at Las Vegas Country Club, site of the 2027 Big 12 Championship.

That ended a streak of eight-consecutive tournaments where the Baylor women finished in the top five, including a win in Hawaii in the fall and three runner-up finishes.

Big 12 rival and 16th-ranked UCF was 14-under over the last two rounds and won the team title going away at 2-over 866, followed by Kent State (15-over, 879), Houston (22-over, 886), the host UNLV team (23-over, 887) and Oklahoma State (30-over, 894). Baylor’s closing round left the Bears in 10th at 52-over 916, just six shots back of seventh-place Northern Arizona.

The Bears were fifth in the 14-team field in par-5 scoring at 3-over and tied for sixth with 28 birdies, but they had the third-most bogeys (77) and tied for last in par-3 scoring at 23-over.

With a birdie on her last hole and a closing round of 2-over 74, Ohma recorded her second-straight top-15 finish, tying for 13th at 5-over 221. After a runner-up finish at last week’s Chevron Collegiate, sophomore Malena Castro shot 7-over 79 on Tuesday and tied for 34th at 14-over 230.

Freshman Amelia Wan had a promising start with a pair of birdies in her first three holes of the day, but she followed that up with four-consecutive bogeys to shoot 4-over 76 and tie for 40th at 15-over 231. Freshman Paloma Ibarra Ambia and junior transfer Yurang Li posted rounds of 78 and 81, respectively, and tied for 56that 21-over 237.

The Bears will get a chance to refresh and regroup before playing in the PING ASU Invitational on March 23-25 at Papago Golf Club in Tempe, Ariz.
