Kansas’ Gracie Mulville and Jocelyn Massey followed by defeating Sierra Berry and Zuzanna Kubacha on court one, 7-6(5), and Maria Silvia Costach and Maria Titova wrapped up with a 7-6(4) win on court three to lock down the point.

The Jayhawks kept rolling into singles, where Heike Janse van Vuuren found the first point on court four, 6-2, 6-2, to extend Kansas’ lead to 2-0. Jocelyn Massey followed with a win over Zuzanna Frankowska on court five, 6-2, 6-4.

Down 3-0, Baylor responded by downing the Jayhawks’ Kyoka Kubo, with Luba Kostenko claiming Baylor’s first point of the match, 6-3, 7-5.
