WACO, Texas – Game two of the series between Baylor baseball and CSU Bakersfield was suspended after four innings due to inclement weather on Friday at Baylor Ballpark in Waco.

The Bears were leading 5-1 after four complete innings before play was stopped.

The game will be resumed on Saturday, May 20, as part of a doubleheader with the series finale set to begin 40 minutes after the conclusion of the suspended game.

Senior Day festivities will take place in between the two games, as BU will honor fifth-year senior RHP Blake Helton.

On Friday night, the Bears were led by redshirt freshman OF Gavin Brzozowski’s two RBIs, including a solo home run, and a three-run blast by freshman INF Kolby Branch in taking a 5-1 lead through four frames. Junior LHP Cam Caley retired the first eight he faced before allowing a baserunner and ended the night with two strikeouts.
