Baylor T&F Women Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

NEW ORLEANS – The Baylor women’s track and field team and 13 individual student-athletes were named All-Academic by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Wednesday afternoon.



The women’s team was honored after recording a 3.23 cumulative GPA during the 2021-22 academic year.



Individually honored from the women’s squad were Demitra Carter, Hannah Link, Moorea Long, Alex Madlock, Aaliyah Miller, Caira Pettway, Tuesdi Tidwell and Sydney Washington. Joining from the men’s side were Johnny Brackins, Ben Conacher, Nathaniel Ezekiel, Cole Hardan and Elijah Morris.



To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic individual honors, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and have met at least one of the following athletic standards:



For the indoor season, a student-athlete must have finished the regular season ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 48 (collective listing) in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org.



In the outdoor season, a student-athlete must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championships (including preliminary rounds).



Over 1,600 student-athletes and 300 teams were named All-Academic by the USTFCCCA in NCAA Division I Track & Field for the 2022 season.
