LEADING OFF

• Baylor kicks off a five-game homestand with a midweek contest against Incarnate Word on Tuesday.

• BU currently sits in seventh place in the Big 12 standings at 4-11 in conference play, with 3 Big 12 series remaining.

• The Bears continue to turn double plays at a high rate, leading the Big 12 and ranking second nationally with 43 total twin killings and 1.07 per game.

• Baylor's top four hitters in the batting lineup (Jack Pineda, Tre Richardson, Jared McKenzie and Kyle Nevin) have each played in all 40 games and each hold a batting average between .281 and .305.

• The Bears have shockingly similar stat lines, as Pineda and Richardson are tied for the team lead with 48 hits, while McKenzie and Nevin are right behind with 47 hits each.
