Baylor A&T Student-Athletes Earn NCATA Academic Honors

WACO, Texas – Baylor acrobatics & tumbling had 26 named to the NCATA Academic Honor Roll while Kamryn Kitchens was named to the All-Academic Team, the organization announced Monday.

Kitchens, a senior top, was named All-Academic for the second time in her career. Joining Kitchens from seven other programs were fellow two-time honoree Peyton Barnes of Fairmont State, Oregon’s Sara Buchner, West Liberty’s Kenzie Kyle, Converse’s Josie McDevitt, Quinnipiac’s Kyla Roberts, Limestone’s Rylee Rossman and Hawaii Pacific’s Avery Tyson.

Members of the NCATA All-Academic Team must have a 3.30 grade-point average and provide significant contributions to the team’s success during 2022 regular season competition.

Each member of the 2022 All-Academic Team had at least a 3.90 cumulative grade-point average or higher (view GPAs and majors below) for the second-consecutive year.

In addition, the NCATA also announced its 2022 Academic Honor Roll, which includes all active Acrobatics & Tumbling student-athletes with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.30 or higher. The Bears had 26 student-athletes named to the Honor Roll this season.

In all, 504 Acrobatics & Tumbling student-athletes from 32 competing teams were named to the NCATA Academic Honor Roll.

Josie McDevitt, Converse University (3.95, International Business)
Kyla Roberts, Quinnipiac University (3.99, Physician Assistant)
Rylee Rossman, Limestone University (4.0, Elementary Education)
Avery Tyson, Hawaii Pacific University (4.0, Psychology)
