Story lines

  *   Baylor is set to host the Texas Longhorns Friday, Oct. 15 at Betty Lou Mays Field in the first of a three-game home stand.
  *   No. 25 Texas is 8-3-3 so far this season recently defeating Iowa State 2-0.
  *   The Longhorns are currently at the top of the Big 12 standings with 2.6 points-per-match and are unbeaten through the first five games of conference play.
  *   The Bears recorded their first loss in nine games last week when they fell to Kansas. They are now 3-1-1 in conference play and second in Big 12 standings.
  *   Texas currently leads the all-time record between the two schools 16-9-4.
  *   Friday’s game will mark alumni night at Betty Lou Mays Field where past Baylor soccer alumni will be honored during halftime. It is also Baylor homecoming week.
  *   In last week’s game versus Kansas, defender Kayley Ables recorded her first career goal. On a pass from Gabby Mueller, Ables deflected the ball and flicked it into the goal. That was Mueller’s third assist of the season.
  *   Taylor Moon recorded her most attempts of the year last season tallying seven shots against Kansas and eight against Kansas State.
  *   Mackenzie Anthony also set a season high six shots against Kansas State with three on goal.
  *   The 13 shots on goal against Kansas State mark a new season high for the Bears.
  *   Jennifer Wandt and the Baylor backline held Kansas State to just two shots on goal.
  *   Baylor also set a new season high in corner kicks with eight.
  *   The double overtime draw with Kansas State marked the third time that has happened this season.
  *   Ally Henderson-Ashkinos leads the Baylor soccer record books in most games started and most games played in a career. She has played in 95 games and started 94 of them. She has also moved to third in most career minutes played with 7491.
  *   Elizabeth Kooiman recorded her fourth assist of the season against Texas Tech bringing her total on the season to 4, she leads the team in assists.
  *   Sarah Hornyak, Ally Henderson-Ashkinos, Jennifer Wandt and Ava Colberg played all 200 minutes last week.
  *   Three Bears made an impact off the bench this week with Olivia Mack recording 66 minutes, Giuliana Cunningham playing 67 minutes, and Chloe Brown playing 18 minutes.
  *   In the Top Drawer Soccer Top 100 National Freshman - Midseason update, freshman Ava Colberg made the list at number 38. Three freshmen from Texas’ squad also made the list.
