  *   Baylor punched its ticket to the Elite 8 for the 3rd time in the last 11 tournaments (2010, 2012, 2021). The Bears lost to the eventual national champions each of the previous trips (No. 1 Duke in 2010, No. 1 Kentucky in 2012).
  *   Baylor won despite making its fewest 3-pointers this season (3) and shooting its lowest 3-point percentage this season (.158).
  *   Baylor improved to 12-1 against Big East teams during the Scott Drew era, including 2-0 against Villanova.
  *   Baylor held Villanova to 51 points, matching its fewest since Nov. 14, 2018 vs. Michigan (46).
  *   Baylor improved to 8-2 against AP Top 25 teams this season and 14-3 against ranked teams the last 2 seasons.
  *   Baylor faced its largest halftime deficit since Jan. 18, 2020 (trailed 36-27 at Oklahoma State) – the Bears won both games.
  *   Baylor out-scored Villanova 39-21 in the second half, including 15-of-23 on 2-point attempts while holding Villanova to 0-of-9 from 3-point range.
  *   Baylor’s 23 first-half points were its fewest in any half this season (previous low was 27 in first half at Texas Tech on Jan. 16, 2021).
  *   Baylor is now 17-14 all-time in 13 NCAA Tournament appearances, including 14-8 in the Scott Drew era.
  *   BU is now 3-2 in NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 games under Drew.
  *   Baylor is now 12-2 against 2021 NCAA Tournament teams.
  *   Baylor has now led by at least 4 points in all 57 games since the start of the 2019-20 season.
  *   Baylor has built double-digit leads in 24 of 27 games this season (all 17 before 21-day layoff, 7 of 10 since).
  *   Baylor is now 51-6 since MaCio Teague and Davion Mitchell joined the starting lineup at the start of the 2019-20 season.
  *   Mark Vital started his 102nd career game, tying Brian Skinner for 4th-most in program history.
  *   Adam Flagler (team-high 16 points) had his 7th game this season with 15+ points off the bench.
  *   Davion Mitchell (14 points) had his 9th-straight game with 12+ points.
