MISCELLANEOUS NOTES

  *   Baylor is 21-7 all-time when playing as an AP Top-5 team.
  *   Baylor is 4-1 when playing as the nation’s top-ranked team.
  *   Baylor has tied the best 19-game start in program history (18-1 in 2016-17).
  *   Baylor has won 17-straight games, a mark that ties the program record 17-0 start to the 2011-12 season. It is the nation’s second-longest active streak behind San Diego State (19).
  *   Baylor is 7-0 to start league play for the first time since starting 10-0 in the 1948 Southwest Conference. BU’s last seven-game conference winning streak was in 1988 Southwest Conference play.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES

  *   Jared Butler made his 38th consecutive start for the Bears.
  *   Mark Vital played in his 78th consecutive game.
  *   Vital nearly had a triple-double as he finished with eight points, nine rebounds and seven assists.
  *   Vital’s seven assists were a season high and one shy of his career high set against Oklahoma State on Jan. 15, 2018.
  *   Devonte Bandoo finished with 12 points. It marked his seventh double-figure scoring game of the season and 18th of his career.
  *   Freddie Gillespie finished with 12 points, his 11th double-figure scoring game of the season and 15th of his career. Gillespie finished the night 5-for-6 from the floor.
  *   Gillespie was a rebound shy of a double-double as he finished with nine boards.
  *   Gillespie also added three blocks.
  *   Davion Mitchell recorded 10 points for his 10th double-figure scoring game of the season.
  *   Mitchell matched his career high with five rebounds.
  *   Mitchell matched his career high with four steals.
  *   MaCio Teague led the Bears with 15 points. It marked the seventh time he’s led the Bears in scoring this season.
  *   Baylor is 15-0 when Teague scores in double figures.
  *   Teague has made at least one 3-pointer in 42 of the last 44 games, including 34 of 44 games with two or more triples. He made two at Iowa State.
