MEDIA ADVISORY: Baylor FB Game Day Reminders

*MEDIA ADVISORY*

Details on a few game day policies at McLane Stadium. Happy to talk through any of these, as needed.

REMINDER: For home and away games, there is no shooting of video or photos from behind Baylor’s Bench, a policy on par with conference regulations in other power-4 leagues. In an effort to streamline their abilities to get from one end of the field to the other, media are allowed to walk behind the bench, when the facility allows, to get to the other end of the field. In the event of a media member shooting from behind the bench, this policy will be revisited and could result in the use of tunnel access to get from one end of the field to the other.

SIDELINE ACCESS
Sideline access for credentialed journalists is limited to those with a silver “field” sticker on their media credential. Those on the sideline must have professional photography or videography equipment. In pregame, media are not permitted to be on the side of the Baylor locker room tunnel, as that space is reserved for prospective student-athletes.

MEDIA WILL CALL/PRESS BOX HOURS: Media will call will open three hours prior to kickoff. If you have a need to get in earlier, reach out to Brent. Also note, the press box will close two hours following the end of the Baylor press conference.

POST-GAME FIELD SHOOTING: Please refrain from inserting your photographers and videographers in the post-game, on-field huddle with the Baylor team. Following handshakes, Baylor’s team often huddles adjacent to the 50-yard line for a quick post-game visit, before student-athletes are able to go see their families. Please do not insert yourself into that huddle for the purpose of acquiring content. No interviews are allowed on the field post-game.

PRESS BOX FOOD: Media meals will open two hours prior to kickoff. Drinks are available in the press box, alongside the meals, and in the photo work room at field level. Saturday’s meal is brisket and nachos.
