No. 10 Baylor MT Hosts In-State Doubleheader on Tuesday Against SMU and ACU

WACO, Texas – The No. 10 Baylor men’s tennis team will take on No. 47 SMU and ACU in a doubleheader on Tuesday at noon and 6 p.m. CT at the Hurd Tennis Center. The matches were originally scheduled earlier this season but had to be rescheduled due to inclement weather.



The Bears (9-5) enter the match following a massive upset over the No. 1 ranked Ohio State, 4-2, and currently have four ranked singles players: No. 12 Devin Badenhorst, No. 27 Connor Henry Van Schalkwyk, No. 53 Zsombor Velcz, and No. 91 Ioan Alexandru Chirita.



Baylor remains undefeated at home this reason and hopes to extend their dominant 24-match win streak against the Mustangs. The last matchup between the teams was on January 26, 2025, where Baylor won 4-2.



The Mustangs (12-6) will be entering the match on a three-match winning streak, including two ranked wins over No. 43 Duke, 4-1, and No. 57 North Carolina, 4-3. ACU (4-5) is coming off a commanding 6-1 victory over Lamar.
