NANJING, China – Baylor track & field’s Demar Francis won the silver medal in the men’s 4x400m for Team Jamaica on the final day of the World Athletics Indoor Championships Sunday at the Nanjing Sports Training Centre.



Running the final leg of race, Francis ran the second-fastest leg for Jamaica at 45.79, the third-fastest among the field, to help carry his country to a silver place finish.



Demario Prince had a solid showing, also representing his home country of Jamaica, in the men’s 60-meter hurdles. Winning Heat 1 with a 7.60 time to qualify to the finals, Prince finished in sixth place overall with a 7.63 mark among the best in the world.



Both Bears recently finished with All-American status from the NCAA Indoor Championships with Francis earning First-Team honors in the 200m and the 4x400 and Prince earning Second-Team honors in the 60 hurdles.



Baylor continues its outdoor season at the Battle on the Bayou in Baton Rouge, Louisiana from March 28-29.
