HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – Baylor women’s golf tied for 13th at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate after a final-round 9-over 293 on Wednesday at Long Cove Club.

Rosie Belsham drove the bus for the Bears in the final round, shooting a 1-under 70 to tie for 19th. Meanwhile, freshman Ashleen Kaur shot an even-par 71 to close out the event as Baylor's highest individual finisher, tied for 16th.

Baylor’s 24-over 876 tied Kentucky and was six shots behind No. 20 Vanderbilt in 12th place. No. 19 Arizona State captured the team championship with a 3-over 855. Julia Lopez Ramirez of Mississippi State, Jennifer Cai of Northwestern, Hannah Darling of South Carolina and Farah O’Keefe of Texas shared co-medalist honors with 5-under 208s.

THE RUNDOWN
Kaur's 1-under 70 was her second straight round under par, securing the top-20 finish. A bogey began the day for the freshman at No. 10 before she battled back to even with a birdie at No. 14. She closed her outward nine with a double bogey at No. 16 and a bogey at 17 to make the turn at 3-over. The freshman caught fire on the front nine with birdies at Nos. 1, 3, 6 and 7 before a final bogey of the day at No. 9 to finish off a 3-under second nine.

Belsham carded her second round at par or better in as many days with a 1-under 70 to tie her teammate Sera Hasegawa and seven others for 19th place. Starting at No. 10, the senior opened with birdies on two of the first five holes but closed the back nine with two bogeys for an even-par 35. Belsham made the turn with a bogey at No. 1 to fall back over par, but she recovered with birdies at Nos. 3 and 6 to finish the day in red figures.

Hasegawa finished the event with a 4-over 75 on Wednesday, her only over-par round of the week, and tied for 19th. Following three-straight pars to open the round, Hasegawa made a bogey at No. 13 but got it back with a birdie two holes later at No. 15. A bogey at No. 18 saw her make the turn with a 1-over 36. Four straight pars opened her inward nine, but a double bogey at No. 5 dropped her to 3-over on the day. A final bogey came at the final hole of the day for Hasegawa at No. 9

Yoonjeong Huh shot her first counting score of the week, a 6-over 77, on Wednesday to finish the week in 88th. Huh played her first three holes at 1-over after bogeys at Nos. 1 and 3 sandwiched a birdie at No. 11. Following a par at No. 13, the freshman birdied three of the next four holes around a bogey at No. 16 to make the turn at even par. On her second nine, Huh played her first seven holes at seven over with bogeys at Nos. 1, 4, 5 and 9 and double bogeys at Nos. 3 and 6. The lone birdie on her inward half came at No. 8.

Silje Ohma closed the week in a tie for 80th on the heels of a 7-over 78 in the final round. Starting on the back nine, Ohma made bogeys at Nos. 11, 12 and 18 to make the turn at 3-over.
