WACO, Texas – Baylor equestrian Jumping Seat sophomore Lauren Reid has been named Big 12 Flat Rider of the Month for February, as announced by the conference office Wednesday afternoon.



Reid picked up honors in Flat after a 3-0 month. The sophomore out of Nazareth, Pa., opened February with a point-scoring 81 against No. 7 Oklahoma State. She continued her point streak with a 79 at Fresno State, then collected her first Most Outstanding Performer nod of the season at No. 9 UC Davis with a meet-high 81, leading the Bears to a 4-1 event win.



This is Reid’s first-career monthly honor in Flat and third Big 12 monthly accolade.



Baylor finished its 2023-2024 campaign with a 2-10 record, including a 1-5 mark in conference play, and returns to action at the Big 12 Equestrian Championship, March 29-30, at the Willis Family Equestrian Center in Waco.
