Baylor Volleyball Media Availability - Thursday 9:40am Ferrell Men's Practice Gym

Hey everyone,

Baylor volleyball invites you to join our media availability tomorrow, Thursday, Nov. 9, at 9:40am in the Ferrell Center Men’s Practice Gym.  Please text me for building access at the Practice Gym entrance of Ferrell.

Head coach Ryan McGuyre and select student-athletes will be available to answer any questions you have about the two upcoming matches with TCU on Friday and Saturday, both at 7pm at Ferrell.

NOTABLE:
• The Bears welcome TCU for the last conference back-to-back series of the season on Friday and Saturday.
• The series was split 1-1 between the teams last season, BU winning at home but falling on the road.
• TCU HC Jason Williams worked his way up at Baylor, filling all roles from Technical Coordinator and Volunteer Assistant all the way to Associate Head Coach.
• Williams is uncle to Harley Kreck. His wife, Cory Sivertson Williams, and Kreck’s mother, Sarah Sivertson Kreck, were both setters for the Bears and both wore No. 1 as Kreck does. Williams’ daughter, Callie, was also a Baylor setter who wore No. 1, graduating in 2021.
• TCU L/DS Cecily Bramschreiber is the younger sister of BU graduate & former Big 12 Libero of the Year Shanel Bramschreiber.
• Baylor served up 13 aces in the match with Texas Tech. It was the most in a three-set match for the Bears since 2008 when BU served up 16 against PVAMU on 8/30/2008. Averi Carlson served six of those 13 for a career high.
• The 3-0 match against Texas Tech was Ryan McGuyre’s 100th career Big 12 victory.
