WACO, Texas – Baylor track and field added 31 entries to the NCAA West Preliminary performance lists, as announced by the NCAA selection committee Thursday afternoon.



The first round of the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship will begin for the men on Wednesday, May 24, at Sacramento State’s Hornet Stadium in Sacramento, Calif., followed by the women’s first round on Thursday.



The men and women who advance will compete in the quarterfinal round on Friday and Saturday, respectively, to punch their ticket to the championship meet in Austin where the final two rounds will crown a champion.



BU holds four top-10 spots on the men’s list, with Chinecherem Prosper Nnamdi at No. 1 in the javelin throw, the men’s 4x400 mark at No. 2, Nathaniel Ezekiel in the 400-meter hurdles at No. 3 and the men’s 4x100-meter relay at eight.



In the women’s list, Annamaria Kostarellis leads at No. 4 in the 10,000 meters, followed by the 4x400 at five and the 4x100 at seven.

The meet, with the exception of the throws events held outside of Hornet Stadium, will be streamed all weekend long on ESPN+. Tickets are still available through the Sacramento State ticket office.
