DALLAS – Baylor women’s basketball’s Sarah Andrews was named a 2023 Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) NCAA Division I Coaches’ All-America honorable mention selection after being recognized as a regional finalist earlier this month.

With the selection, the Irving, Texas, native is the 15th Bear to earn an honorable mention nod from the WBCA and her recognition marks the 16th-straight year a Baylor Bear has received an All-America honor from the organization.

In games against AP Top 25 teams this season, Andrews averaged 16.9 points per game in nearly 39 minutes of action. After landing a spot on the All-Big 12 Second Team last season, Andrews played her way onto the 11-person first team this year. She reached double-figure scoring in 15 of 18 Big 12 games with 20-plus point performances in six of those contests with a career-best 30-point outpouring in a top-25 win on the road at Oklahoma. With her selection, Baylor has had representation on the All-Big 12 First Team every year since 2004.
