NEW ORLEANS – Baylor men’s and women’s cross country teams and three individual student-athletes were named All-Academic by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Thursday afternoon.



The women’s team was honored after a 3.61 cumulative GPA and the men’s team was honored with a 3.55.



Ellie Hodge, Ryan Day and Drew Snyder each earned individual distinctions after receiving All-Region honors at the 2022 NCAA South Central Cross Country Regionals in Bryan-College Station, Texas.



Overall, there were 124 men from 58 different institutions and 171 women from 88 different institutions who were named All-Academic Athletes for their efforts during the 2022 season. 249 women’s and 216 men’s programs were named All-Academic Teams.



In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 (or 10 percent) at the NCAA Regional Championships or as an All-American at the NCAA Championships, and teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.
