IRVING, Texas – A total of 24 Baylor track and field student-athletes were named to the 2023 Academic All-Big 12 honors list, the conference announced Monday morning.



First-team men’s honorees included Luke Anthony, Nicholi Brown, Nate Butler, Ben Conacher, Ryan Day, Cole Hardan, Ryan Hodge, Kade Hulett, Cooper Mack and Eli Morris for the spring 2023 semester.



Ava Bartlett-Miller, Brooke Botha, Hayden Gold, Hailey Goodell, Ellie Hodge, Jordan Ledington, Sophia Leidner, Hannah Link, Makayla Long, Moorea Long, Cate Urbani and Lily Williams represent BU on the women’s first team.



Among those, Coacher was just one of 91 across the conference’s 846 honorees to be nominated with a 4.0 GPA.



Nathaniel Ezekiel and Kavia Francis joined each other on the All-Big 12 second team.



Altogether, men’s and women’s track and field programs in the Big 12 tabbed 358 student-athletes across the first and second teams.



To qualify as one of the 846 student-athletes honored, they must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 20 percent of their team’s scheduled contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.



First team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA while the second team selections hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA.
