Olympia Fields, Ill. – Baylor men’s golf will resume its 2022 fall slate at the Fighting Illini Invitational, beginning Friday at Olympia Fields Country Club.

The 15-team field will consist of 11 teams that are ranked or receiving votes in the Bushnell/Golfweek Preseason Poll. The Bears shared the team title at the Fighting Illini in 2019 and Cooper Dossey took home individual medalist honors. Head coach Mike McGraw also led Oklahoma State to a team title at Olympia Fields in 2007, with future PGA Tour star Rickie Fowler as the individual medalist for the Cowboys that year.

With so much talent and history in Olympia Fields, McGraw looks forward to taking his Baylor team to the Chicago suburb for the eighth time this weekend.

“We feel so blessed to be playing an event like the Fighting Illini,” McGraw said. “Olympia Fields is one of the best courses in all of college golf. It is a course that will make you better, regardless of the score, as there are so many learning opportunities. We have also played well there in the past."

Johnny Keefer, ranked 18th in the latest PGA Tour University rankings, will take the No. 1 spot in the lineup for a 13th-straight time. Keefer tied for 29th earlier this week at the Gopher Invitational, thanks to a second-round 67 at Windsong Farm.

Luke Dossey tied for 12th at the Gopher Invitational and will play out of the No. 2 spot this weekend for the Bears. The Austin, Texas, native, shot a career-best 209 last week in Minnesota and leads the team in par-3 scoring average at 2.75.

Chicago native Tyler Isenhart returns home on the heels of his career-best 209 at the Gopher this week and will take his spot at No. 3 in the lineup. Earlier this week, the senior shot three rounds at par or better for the first time in his career.

Drew Wrightson will play at No. 4 this week following a tie for 29th at the Gopher Invitational. The Indiana native will make his second start at the Fighting Illini Invitational after finishing tied for 69th as a freshman last year.

Trey Bosco will make his 2022-23 debut in the lineup, fresh off his first career win at the Minnesota Golf Invitational last weekend. The junior re-wrote his personal record book last week with three rounds in the 60's en route to a two-shot victory in Minnesota.

Tee times will begin at 8:00 a.m. CT on Friday morning and, once finalized, can be found here.<https://results.golfstat.com/public/leaderboards/gsnav.cfm?pg=pairings&tid=25907> Live stats can also be found at Golfstat.com<https://results.golfstat.com/public/leaderboards/gsnav.cfm?pg=participants&tid=25907>.
