STANFORD, Calif. – Baylor women's golf returns to action on Friday morning at the Stanford Intercollegiate at Stanford Golf Course.

The Bears are coming off a fifth-place finish in the season opener at the Schooner Fall Classic. Friday will mark BU’s first appearance in the Stanford Intercollegiate, but head coach Jay Goble took a team to Stanford Golf Course to play in the NCAA West regional back in 2013.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to play in Stanford’s event this weekend,” he said. “This is a great golf course and one that often hosts postseason tournaments.
We have a very good team, and we’re excited to see them compete after a long layoff from the Schooner Fall Classic.

BU will face seven ranked teams in the field this week, including four of the top 10, highlighted by the host, No. 1 Stanford.

Rosie Belsham will play out of the No. 1 spot for a second-consecutive tournament, coming off a tie for 32nd in Oklahoma. Belsham enters this week second on the team with a par percentage of 66.7%.

BaiMai Seema will play at No. 2 this week, the highest lineup position in her young career. The sophomore made 12 birdies at the Schooner Fall Classic, which tied for the second-most on the team.

Silje Ohma will play at No. 3 this week after recording a tie for 10th at the Schooner Fall Classic in her first-career start. She closed strong at Belmar Golf Club, tying a school record with a 5-under 65

Sera Hasegawa will play at No. 4 after an impressive debut of her own in green and gold. The sophomore transfer finished tied for 15th with two rounds at par or better and led the team with 13 birdies.

Britta Snyder will play at No. 5 in Stanford after tying for 42nd at the Schooner Fall Classic. The junior enters this week leading the team in par or better percentage at 85.2%. She played her best golf in the final round at Belmar with a 1-under 69.

Snyder will lead things off for Baylor on the No. 10 tee at 10:25 a.m. CT. Hasegawa will follow at 10:36 a.m., just ahead of Ohma at 10:47 a.m. Seema will tee off at 10:58, while Belsham will take her anchor position at 11:09 a.m. Live stats and scoring are available at GolfStat.com
