Baylor VB’s Davis, McGhee Earn Academic All-District Honors
Bears have two earn district academic accolade from College Sports Communicators

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Baylor volleyball’s Cassie Davis and Elise McGhee have earned Academic All-District honors, selected by College Sports Communicators.

CSC, formerly the College Sports Information Directors Association, announced the distinctions on Tuesday.

The Academic All-District Volleyball Teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performance in the classroom and on the court.

By being selected as Academic All-District, Davis and McGhee are now eligible for Academic All-America honors from CSC. First, second and third team honorees will be announced in late December.

Davis, a senior from Highlands Ranch, Colo., is a Health Science Studies student at Baylor and has a 4.00 cumulative GPA. Davis has served up 10 aces for the Bears this season to help the Bears earn a 22-5 record thus far.

McGhee, a sophomore out of San Antonio, Texas, is majoring in Health Science Studies at Baylor. The outside hitter has played in nearly every match this season and is averaging 2.46 kills per set with 226 kills so far this season.

WHAT’S NEXT
The Bears return home Saturday for the final regular-season and home match of the year, facing Kansas State for Senior Day at 1 p.m. in the Ferrell Center.
