Baylor VB Media Availability - Friday, Nov. 11, 12:15pm - Ferrell Center Circle Dr.

Hello all!

The No. 10-ranked Baylor volleyball team will host media availability Friday, Nov. 11, at 12:15pm at the circle drive (southwest) entrance to the Ferrell Center where the team bus will be loading. BU heads to Fort Worth to face TCU for a Saturday, 2pm match against TCU.

Head coach Ryan McGuyre and select student-athletes will be available for questions.

Items of note:

  *   Seventh-straight season with 20+ wins, all under McGuyre
  *   Bears are on a six-match win streak
  *   Ranked 10th in this week’s AVCA polls, 13th in the RPI
  *   BU is 90-34 all-time in the Big 12 under McGuyre
  *   Averi Carlson has matched Yossiana Pressley for having four Rookie awards, earning her fourth on 11/8.
  *   The Bears have four matches left in the regular season: TCU, Iowa State, Texas and K-State.
  *   Starting on Oct. 30, Baylor doesn’t have to leave the state for their matches; they’re all within the state of Texas.
  *   McGuyre is seven wins away from becoming BU’s all-time winningest volleyball coach at 182 wins. He is 175-60 at BU and 510-193 in his career currently.
  *   Kara McGhee has consistently been in the top 10 for total blocks and blocks per set nationally this season, also staying at No. 1 in the conference in those categories.
  *   Kara McGhee and Mallory Talbert are both staying within the top-15 of the NCAA for hitting percentage as well as top-3 in the league.
