After a scoreless inning for both teams in the second, McKenzie Wilson singled to right field in the third, and the Longhorns plated two more on an error and a hit.

Texas added another run in the fourth before Aliyah Binford and Sydney Collazos reached on a single and fielder’s choice. No runs were plated by the Bears in the top of the inning, then reliever Maren Judisch sat Texas down to close out the fifth.

TOP QUOTES
Glenn Moore on the game…
“Hailey Dolcini and fundamental defense was the difference today. This game is about pitching and defense so you have to match it until the other team breaks. We broke down early and never could recover.”
