WACO, Texas – The Baylor men’s tennis squad signed Martin Breysach to the 2022 class, head coach Michael Woodson announced on Friday. Breysach comes to Waco from Strasbourg, France.



“Martin is going to inject an energy and excitement for development within the team setting into this program right away,” said head coach Michael Woodson. “His immense success both in the juniors and on the ITF circuit will prepare him for the rigors ahead at the top of collegiate tennis.



Breysach made his way to a career-high No. 19 in the ITF junior rankings, followed by No. 733 in ATP singles and 347 in doubles.



He was a part of the finalist French Team at the Junior Davis Cup and racked up titles at the GI Junior Barranquilla and Monastir 15K. In doubles play, Breysach recorded seven ITF doubles titles in the past two years.



“His presence will have an immediate impact on this team on and off the court,” said Woodson. “We are looking forward to helping him reach his goals at Baylor and beyond.”
