WACO, Texas – Baylor equestrian released its 2022-23 schedule on Monday, as announced by sixth-year head coach Casie Maxwell.

Baylor will host six meets at home and compete in six meets on the road, including one neutral-site contest, ahead of postseason play.

The Bears will open the year with a pair of matchups against SEC teams on the road, traveling to South Carolina on Sept. 29 and then Georgia on Sept. 30. BU will round out its season-opening road stretch at Oklahoma State on Oct. 15 to kick off Big 12 action.

Baylor begins its home slate against TCU on Oct. 21 before traveling up I-35 to face in-state rival SMU on Nov. 4 in Dallas. To close out the fall season, the Bears will welcome Fresno State to Waco on Nov. 18.

Following a two-month winter break, BU will begin its spring ledger with back-to-back home matchups against UT Martin and South Dakota State on Jan. 27 and 28, respectively. The following weekend, the Bears will hit the road for Fresno, Calif., to face the Bulldogs on Feb. 3 and take on Minnesota-Crookston on Feb. 4.

Baylor will host its final two home meets of the year on Feb. 18 against Oklahoma State and March 2 against SMU before rounding out the regular season on March 4 at TCU.

This year’s Big 12 Championship will be hosted by Oklahoma State in Stillwater, Okla., on March 24-25. The NCEA National Championship returns to the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Fla., for the second-straight year on April 13-15 to crown the 2022-23 champion.

The Bears are looking to carry momentum from an award-filled season, as senior Andie Pratt, the 2021-22 NCEA Reining Co-Rider of the Year, leads a squad that includes fellow NCEA All-Americans in Jenna Meimerstorf (Reining, First Team), Shelby Clausen (Reining, Second Team) and Marley Mainwaring (Horsemanship, Second Team).
