IRVING, Texas – Baylor cross country combined for 11 student-athletes on the All-Big 12 Academic First and Second Teams, the conference office announced Tuesday afternoon.



The women’s team had seven first-team honorees in Hayden Gold, Hailey Goodell, Ellie Hodge, Jamie Holodak, Jordan Ledington, Cate Urbani and Taylor Whitfield.



On the men’s side, Ryan Hodge, Kade Hulett and Andrew Snyder were named to the first team, while Ryan Day found a spot on the second team.



The 2022 Academic All-Big 12 Cross Country Team honored 142 student-athletes with 67 selections for the men and 75 for the women.



First-team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA while the second team selections hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA. Snyder, Ledington and Ellie Hodge are among a select group that recorded a perfect 4.0.



To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 20 percent of their team’s scheduled contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.
