WACO, Texas – No. 4 Baylor men’s tennis returns to action on Sunday with a 2 p.m. match against No. 34 Oklahoma to close out the home slate and celebrate the members of the senior class.

The Bears (20-3, 2-1 Big 12) look to make their home record 11-1 for the season when they face the Sooners (13-6, 1-1 Big 12).

The all-time series is held by OU by a slim lead of 26-24, with BU winning the last four out of five matchups, including two in 2021.

Baylor faces Oklahoma after routing the No. 44th-ranked Oklahoma State on Friday night, 7-0, at the Hurd Tennis Center. The win over the Cowboys gave the Bears their 20th win of the season, No. 4 Adrian Boitan his 16th-straight singles victory on court one and No. 73 Sven Lah his 100th career singles win. BU also put a stop to OSU’s 13-consecutive doubles point win streak, with the No. 21-ranked pair of Juan Pablo Grassi Mazzuchi and Matias Soto winning on court two and Boitan with Paroulek winning on court three.

The Sooners travel to Waco after falling to No. 42 Texas Tech on Friday, 4-3. Tech took the doubles point, winning on courts two and three, while OU won on court one with No. 73-ranked doubles pair Alex Martinez and Welsh Hotard. In singles, Oklahoma won on the top court with No. 41 Mason Beiler, No. 2 singles with Martinez and on No. 6 with Justin Schlageter, but fell on courts three, four and five for the Red Raiders to take the match.

After the match against OU, Baylor will celebrate its three seniors: Jacob Brumm, Sven Lah and Matias Soto.
