THE RUNDOWN
WACO, Texas – Baylor Softball fell in its series finale against No. 6 Oklahoma State, 7-2, Sunday afternoon at Getterman Stadium.

The Bears jumped out to an early lead, plating two in the bottom of the first. McKenzie Wilson continued her hitting streak, leading things off with a single, before Ana Watson laid down a perfect bunt and Emily Hott walked to load the bases. Aliyah Binford delivered a two-run double to right center, scoring Wilson and Watson.

The Bears and Cowgirls each had a couple of runners on in the second, but no runs came across. Baylor held Oklahoma State scoreless until the fourth, when the Cowgirls plated four on a couple of Baylor errors.

Oklahoma State retired the Bears in order in five-straight innings after their game-opening two-runs.

Starting pitcher Dariana Orme worked out of a bases-loaded jam in the top of the fifth, picking up three strikeouts in the inning.

Oklahoma State plated three more in the sixth inning, extending its lead to 7-2 and securing the Cowgirls’ perfect weekend against the Bears

HIGHLIGHTS

TOP QUOTES
Glenn Moore on the game…
“I thought our pitching has given us a chance to compete with these top-level teams. But we’re just not good enough behind them. We do have people playing out of position in some areas that we just can’t improve them fast enough to make the routine plays to keep us in those games. I thought we started off the game really well, but you know a team like that is going to put runners on base and force you to make plays, and if you don’t make them, you’re in trouble. And we were in trouble today because we didn’t make routine plays.”
