WACO, Texas – Baylor baseball welcomes Air Force for a 14-inning exhibition game at 1 p.m. Sunday at Baylor Ballpark.

The game is free and open to the public, as fans will get another chance to see BU’s fall roster in action following the team’s 6-0 win over the Texas Rangers Instructional League Team on Oct. 28. Fifth-year senior pitchers Jake Jackson and Matt Voelker combined with third-year sophomore Brett Garcia to hold the Rangers to just three hits in the 12-inning shutout.

Head coach Steve Rodriguez enters his seventh season at the helm and returns 26 members of the 2021 team to the fall squad, in addition to 12 freshmen and six transfers. Third-year sophomore Jared McKenzie, a 2021 All-American and first-team All-Big 12 selection, leads the Bears’ contingent that includes second-team All-Big 12 pitcher Tyler Thomas and honorable mention picks in Jack Pineda and Tre Richardson.

No live stream or stats feed will be available for the exhibition. Live in-game updates will be provided via BU’s official Twitter account: @BaylorBaseball.

Fans are encouraged to bring their own food and drink as concessions at Baylor Ballpark will be closed.

Baylor will begin its annual Green & Gold World Series on Friday, Nov. 12, with the five-game series set to run until Saturday, Nov. 20. While the Big 12 schedule was released earlier this week, the Bears’ full slate of games will be announced at a later date.
