Baylor Track & Field: Miller Named to Academic All-America Second Team
McKinney, Texas native earned Academic All-District accolades in July

WACO, Texas – Aaliyah Miller has been named to the 2021 Academic All-America® Second Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) as the organization announced its Division I Track & Field/Cross Country All-America teams.

This is Miller’s first time being named to one of the teams. The senior from McKinney, Texas, became an Academic All-America nominee after earning All-District accolades in July.

Miller had a historic season on the track, winning the indoor national championship in the 800 meters and becoming an All-American for the fourth time with a school-record run of 2:00.69. She also qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field National Championship in the 800 meters and 4x400-meter relay.

After capturing Big 12 indoor titles in the 800 meters and 4x400 relay, Miller added another Big 12 title outdoors in the 800 meters and was on the runner-up 4x400 relay team. She earned a spot at the United States Olympic Trials, competing in the 800 meters at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.
