Baylor Football Announces Staff Additions and Promotions

WACO, Texas – Baylor football head coach Dave Aranda<https://baylorbears.com/staff.aspx?staff=583> has announced numerous additions and promotions to his coaching and support staff on the heels of the most successful season in program history.

Ronnie Wheat joins the Bears as an assistant coach working with safeties and special teams following two seasons as an assistant coach at the University of Nevada. Wheat served as the linebackers coach this past season after working as the safeties coach in 2020. Prior to his time with the Wolfpack, Wheat spent seven seasons as the lead defensive analyst at LSU, including four seasons working with Aranda, culminating in the 2019 National Championship.

Dallas Baker has been added as an assistant coach working with wide receivers. He comes to Waco after spending a season in the same position as the University of Buffalo. Prior to that, he spent four seasons as the wide receivers coach at Marshall University. Baker also spent time as the wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator at Warner University after a career in pro football. He spent three seasons in the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers, helping them to a Super Bowl title following the 2008 season. Baker was drafted out of the University of Florida after playing with the Gators from 2003-06, helping them win the 2007 BCS National Championship.

Keava Soil-Cormier has joined the football support staff as associate AD for player personnel. She spent the past seven seasons at LSU, most recently serving as LSU’s assistant director of recruiting operations, where she was responsible for organizing and overseeing all special events associated with football recruiting. Soil-Cormier originally joined the LSU Staff in 2014 as a recruiting analyst.

Jeff Grigus has joined the Bears as director of football operations, following four seasons as LSU’s assistant director of football operations. The 2010 LSU graduate also spent eight seasons as an equipment manager at his alma mater.

Monique Felix has moved into the role of associate director of football operations after serving as a character formation coordinator for the past eight months. Felix originally joined Baylor in July of 2020 as an operations assistant in the Student-Athlete Center for Excellence (SACE).

Tyler Foster has been named associate director of player personnel, following one season as an offensive analyst at Kansas State. Foster previously served as a recruiting analyst at Oklahoma State and was the run game coordinator and running backs coach at Kimball High School in Dallas.

Aaron Hunt has been elevated to assistant AD for scouting after serving as a recruiting and personnel assistant this past season. Prior to joining the staff in January of 2021, he served as the director of 306 Elite Performance and Development in Denison, Texas, a non-profit organization he founded to operate camps, leagues and after-school programs for youths seventh grade and below.

Connor Morgan has been named coordinator for player personnel. He joined the Baylor staff in March as a personnel assistant after working as a recruiting specialist for the University of Alabama from 2017-21, where he was part of two National Championships.
