WACO, Texas -- Malena Castro led the way for Baylor women’s golf for the second straight day, charting a top-10 showing to pace the Bears to a fifth-place finish at the Mason Rudolph Championship, hosted by Vanderbilt in Franklin, Tenn., at the VU Legends Club.



Baylor finished fifth in the star-studded field, posting a three-round total of 864 (287-283-293), behind Arizona State, North Carolina, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt.



Castro led the way with a sixth-place finish, charting a 1-over 72 on Friday, a career-best 5-under 66 on Saturday and a 1-over 72 on Sunday.



Silje Ohma had a 1-under 70 on Friday, a 3-over 74 on Saturday and a 4-over 75 on Sunday to finish 30th overall.



Yurang Li shot even par on Friday, was 6-over with a 77 on Saturday and responded with a 1-over 72 on Sunday.



Bridget Boczar placed 38th overall with a 4-over 75 on Friday, a 1-over 2 on Saturday and a 3-over 74 on Sunday.



Amelia Wan finished just outside the top 50 with 3-oer 74 on Friday, even par on Saturday and a 9-over on Sunday.



Baylor will return to action on Oct. 6-7 at the Prairie Dunes Invitational in Hutchinson, Kan.
