Baylor MG Travels to Hawaii for Kalauoa Invitational
Bears to Compete in 54-Hole Event Wednesday and Thursday

WACO, Texas -- Baylor men’s golf will compete in the inaugural Pearl at Kalauoa Invitational in Hawaii on Wednesday and Thursday at the Pear at Kalauoa, hosted by the University of Hawaii.



Baylor will compete in the 54-hole event that includes a 36-hole day on Wednesday and an 18-hole day on Thursday. The course is a par-72 that measures at, 6,955 yards.



There are 18 teams participating, including Hawaii, Air Force, Army, Augusta State, Baylor, Belmont, Butler, Cal Baptist, Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Michigan, Hawaii Pacific, Nevada, Southern Illinois-Edwardsville, Utah Tech, UT Martin, UC San Diego, West Virginia and Wichita State.



Baylor’s lineup with include Jonas Appel, Vincent Stjernfeldt, Davis Ovard, Alex Heard and Sam Dossey. Martin Kemp is also competing for the Bears as an individual.



The Bears will be wrapping up their fall schedule in Hawaii, with a schedule that includes five tournaments in 2025. Baylor most recently posted an 11th place finish at The Clerico Oct. 27-28. Baylor’s best finish came at the Trinity Forest Invitational on Oct. 5-7 in Dallas with a six-place showing.



Appel leads the team with a 72.25 stroke average, with Sternfeldt posting a 72.33 average.
