No. 14 Baylor MT Wraps up Non-Conference Slate in Indian Wells

WACO, Texas – Winners of six consecutive, No. 14 Baylor men’s tennis ventures out to Indian Wells, Calif., for a two-match swing to conclude non-conference play in the regular-season, facing No. 28 Pepperdine on Friday at 11:30 a.m. at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in the 2025 UTR Sports Collegiate Championships.



Baylor (12-6) will face off with either No. 26 Princeton or No. 45 Arizona State on Sunday at 11:30 a.m.



The Bears have several players ranked in the latest ITA rankings, including in singles led by No. 35 Devin Badenhorst and featuring No. 86 Oskar Brostrom Poulsen. In doubles, Brostrom Poulsen and Marko Miladinovic rank No. 15, Zsombor Velcz and Badenhorst rank No. 25, Velcz and Brostrom Poulsen rank No. 51, and Badenhorst and Luc Koenig rank No. 79.



Badenhorst sports a 7-7 record on court 1 and Miladinovic is 8-2. Alexandru Chirita leads the team with an 11-2 record, including 6-1 on court 5. Badenhorst and Koenig are 8-2 in doubles on court 2, while Miladinovic and Brostrom Poulsen are 6-8 on court 1.



Pepperdine (8-4) has a ranked doubles team in No. 72 Linus Carlson Halldin and Maxi Homberg. Homberg ranks No. 47 in singles and Edward Winter ranks No. 69. The Waves have won three straight matches, all ranked wins including No. 62 Rice, No. 39 Vanderbilt and No. 47 Middle Tennessee. Homerg is 14-10 on the year and 5-2 on court 2, while Winter is 8-4 on court 1. In doubles, Aleksa Piraric and Lasse Poertner have combined to go 11-1 in doubles, including 9-0 on court 3.



Princeton (16-4) features a ranked doubles pair, No. 63 Filippos Astreinidis and Paul Inchauspe. Inchauspe is 10-3 on the year in singles, while Fnu Nidunjianzan is 8-1 and Evan Wen is 8-3. Didunjianzan and Ellis Short have combined to go 8-2 in doubles. Inchauspe ranks No. 33 in singles and Nidunjianzan ranks No. 59.



Arizona State (7-6)  boasts a ranked singles player in No. 109 Bor Artnak. Artnak and Matic Damic rank No. 34 in doubles. The Devils have won two of the last three matches, including a 4-0 win over Liberty and a 4-1 win over No. 29 Boise State, falling vs. No. 9 Arizona. Artnak has a 9-4 record in singles, including 8-4 on court 1. Artnak and Matic Dimic are 7-5 in doubles while Daniel Phillips and Tanner Povey are 7-2 on court 2.
