PARIS – Baylor women’s basketball will open the 2025-26 season in Paris, France, playing Duke as part of the Oui-Play Paris doubleheader on Nov. 3, as announced by Complete Sports Management on Thursday.
“Being chosen to open the season in an iconic city like Paris is an incredible honor for our university and our team,” said head coach Nicki Collen. “This elite event will feature top-tier competition and provide a global stage to showcase our program while continuing to grow the game of women’s basketball around the world. It’s a unique opportunity, both on and off the court, and I’m excited to share this experience with our student-athletes and staff as we create memories that will last a lifetime."
The event, in its third edition and second consecutive as a doubleheader, will also feature Vanderbilt and California at Adidas Arena in the City of Lights.
Oui-Play debuted on Nov. 6, 2023, with eventual national champion South Carolina defeating Notre Dame, 100-71, at Halles Georges Carpentier Arena. The second Oui-Play, played on Nov. 4, 2024, at Adidas Arena, saw UCLA get past Louisville 66-59 and Southern California edge Ole Miss, 68-66.
“We are very proud, at Paris Basketball, to be a co-organizer and partner of the Oui-Play Paris 2025, the opening of the NCAA women's basketball season,” said Paris Basketball co-owner and president David Kahn. “Women's college basketball is becoming a powerful property in sports and we want to be part of this development in Grand Paris.”
The matchup will be the second all-time between the Bears and the Blue Devils, as Baylor won the first meeting in the 2010 Elite Eight sending BU to its second Final Four in program history.
Duke’s previous season ended in the Elite Eight with a narrow loss to South Carolina.
The game will be the 17th (15-1) for Baylor, playing outside of the United States, with a 5-1 record abroad under Collen's tutelage, including appearances in the 2021 Cancun Challenge and the 2024 Battle 4 Atlantis.
Game tickets will go on sale Friday, June 20 through the Paris Basketball website<https://billetterie.adidasarena.com/fr/manifestation/2025-oui-play-billet/idmanif/627347/codtypadh/FTT/numadh/01/codeconf/FTMS01> at noon CT.
