WACO, Texas — Baylor men’s golf coach Mike McGraw was named as one of five members of the Oklahoma Golf Hall of Fame’s Class of 2025 on Tuesday.

The Ponca City, Okla., native helped shape generations of golfers in the Sooner State, spending nearly 50 years giving back to the game at the junior and amateur levels. The son of a long-time Ponca City Country Club professional, Gervis McGraw, Mike joins his sister Patty, a 2006 inductee.

In addition to his 20 wins at Baylor, McGraw has helped six different Bears to 11 all-American seasons, including the program’s only three-time All-American in Johnny Keefer. He has guided the Bears to six NCAA championships, including the highest finish in program history, a tie for fifth at the 2017 NCAA Championship.

McGraw won his third NCAA title as an assistant coach at the University of Alabama in 2014 after winning two titles with Oklahoma State. His first championship came as an assistant in 2000 and then again as the head coach in 2006. In his time with the Cowboys, McGraw coached 10 players to 21 All-America honors, including PGA Tour players Rickie Fowler, Morgan Hoffman, Kevin Tway and Peter Uihlein.

A teacher at heart, McGraw earned his teaching certificate in the late 80s and started as a middle school history teacher at Edmond's Sequoyah Middle School while also serving as an assistant coach at Edmond High School.

Between his time at Edmond and Edmond North, he won 10 state titles, his last in 1998 when he left to join Mike Holder’s coaching staff at Oklahoma State.

McGraw joins PGA Tour winners Willie Wood and Andrew Magee, course developer Duffy Martin and 1962 U.S. Amateur champion Labron Harris Jr. A breakdown of the newest hall class can be found at Oklahomagolfhof.org.<https://oklahomagolfhof.org/willie-wood-andrew-magee-mike-mcgraw-duffy-martin-labron-harris-jr-comprise-2025-oklahoma-golf-hall-of-fame-class-for-nov-9-induction/>

The quintet will be inducted in a ceremony on Nov. 9, 2025, at Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club. Tables and sponsorship information is available here<https://www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/92EZUN9TVRAPA?>. You can also call 918-280-0787 or email Ken MacLeod at ken at golfoklahoma.org.
