* 17/22 Baylor picked up the first win of the Nicki Collen era at 14/15 K-State, 79-62 on Big Monday, getting the team’s ninth-straight win to move to 25-5 overall and 15-2 in conference play.
* The Bears had the lead for the entire game, stretching it to as much as 19 with just a few minutes left in the contest.
* BU outshot KSU, 43.3% to 42.1%, going 29-of-67 from the field.
* Baylor collected its 10th double-digit 3-pointers made effort on the season, getting 11 at 29.9%.
* K-State was held almost 20 points below its season average at 62 in its first home loss of the season in 18 games.
* BU was outrebounded for the second-straight game, 38 to 34, and had 13 second chance points off the offensive glass’ 14 rebounds.
* Playing in the same arena that she upset K-State in last season in the NCAA Tournament, Aaronette Vonleh had a season-high 24 points with 12 rebounds for her third double-double of the year. It was her 20th double-figure performance of the season. Vonleh also had a pair of steals and three big blocks.
* Yaya Felder and Aliyah Matharu scored 15 points each on the evening with three 3-pointers each. Felder was 5-of-14 from the field and 2-of-2 from the stripe with six rebounds and four assists. Matharu was 5-of-13 from the field with three rebounds, one assist and a steal.
* Sarah Andrews was 4-of-11 for 12 points, all four of those makes coming from behind the arc.
* Eight points came from Jada Walker and a 3-of-6 performance from the field, but the senior dished out 11 assists in her third double-digit performance that was one shy of a career best.
* Waiata Jennings’ three points came from a huge three pointer that ignited the final run to the end for BU. Jennings had a pair of rebounds with a steal.
* Bella Fontleroy had two points before exiting due to injury, but had three rebounds and two assists.
* Kyla Abraham had 10 scoreless minutes on the court with an offensive rebound.
* Collen is 99-33 in her fourth season leading the Bears, 52-19 in Big 12 play.
* Collen is 29-8 in the month of February.
* Baylor used the lineup of Yaya Felder, Jada Walker, Sarah Andrews, Aaronette Vonleh and Bella Fontleroy as its first five for the fourth time this season.
* Felder is 5-0, Walker is 51-13, Andrews is 96-34, Fontleroy is 46-15 and Vonleh is 25-5 as starters at Baylor.
* Baylor is back home with a chance to clinch the Big 12 Championship against No. 10 TCU on Sunday at 5:30. The game will be live on FS1 and the Baylor Sports Media Network.
