WACO, Texas – Baylor men's basketball signed its seventh transfer this offseason, announcing the addition of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi guard Isaac Williams on Monday.
In his one season with the Islanders, Williams averaged 10.8 points and 3.7 assists on 44% shooting across 19 games. Baylor head coach Scott Drew likes what the two-time state champion at Oak Cliff Faith and Family Academy brings to this team.
“Isaac is a competitive player that won a couple of state championships playing at a high level here in Texas,” Drew said. “He is a guy that can come in and make our team better by the way he brings it every day. We are excited to add him to our roster for next season.”
A three-star prospect by 247 Sports and On3, Williams finished second on the team last season in scoring as one of two players to average double figures while leading the Islanders in assists (71). In Southland Conference play, he upped his scoring to 11.6 points per game.
He had a decorated high school career, winning a pair of 4A UIL State Championships, leading the Eagles to the 2024 title, where he was named the Championship game MVP on the heels of 32 points and six rebounds against Silsbee. He helped clinch Faith and Family's spot in the title game with a 19-point and seven-rebound performance against Stafford in the state semifinals.
As a junior, the Oklahoma City, Okla., native helped the Eagles to a 33-3 record and the second in a run of three-straight state titles for the program.
Williams joins fellow transfers Dan Skillings Jr., Caden Powell, Juslin Bodo Bodo, JJ White, Michael Rataj and Obi Agbim. Additionally, the Bears will welcome in five-star prospect Tounde Yessoufou and Link Academy wing, Andre Igoudala II for the 2025-26 season.
