FRANKLIN, Tenn. —Baylor women’s golf aims to build on its success at the Folds of Honor Collegiate with a trip east for the Mason Rudolph Championship at Vanderbilt Legends Club.

BU is one of seven teams in the field that made the NCAA Championship a season ago. Head coach Jay Goble has made several trips to this golf course, which holds a lot of special memories for him, and he is looking forward to seeing this team tackle the test in 2024.

“This feels like about the 15th time I’ve been to Franklin and the Legends Club, including the first year we went to the NCAA Championship in 2012,” he said. “It is a great golf course at a great venue, and when you add in the fantastic field we have this week, this will be a great experience for our group no matter how we play. It is an early test on a championship golf course with a championship field, and it's going to give us a good chance to see how we stack up and where we will need to be better as we set our sights on La Costa in May.”

Ashleen Kaur carried the flag for the Bears in the Folds of Honor, finishing tied for sixth, the fourth top-10 finish of her career. The sophomore is off to a stellar start, making birdie or better on 24.1% of the 54 holes at the FOH.

Coming off a career-best finish at the Folds of Honor, BaiMai Seema will play at the No. 2 position for the second time in her career. Through the first event, Seema is leading the team in par-3 scoring average (2.75)

Sera Hasegawa will play out of the No. 3 spot this week on the heels of a tie for 21st in Grand Haven last time out. With a career stroke average of 72.05, the senior is on pace to set BU’s career mark, currently held by Elodie Chapelet at 72.28.

Bridget Boczar will play at No. 4 in her second event with the Bears. The Canton, Mich., native played well, highlighted by a second-round 72 to card a top-30 in the first event of her BU career.

Silje Ohma will make her debut in the lineup this week at No. 5. The former All-American played her way into the lineup with a dominating effort at the Waco River Classic, beating Baylor teammate Jenny Lee by 14 shots earlier this week at Cottonwood Creek.
