No. 17 Baylor VB Hosts Texas Tech to Close Season Series

WACO, Texas – The No. 17 Baylor volleyball squad heads into the final stretch of conference play and faces Texas Tech at home on Wednesday night with a 7 p.m. first serve in the Ferrell Center.

Prior to the match, senior outside hitter Elise McGhee will be honored for her 1,000 career kills.

The match is also “Princess and the Bears” night, with fans encouraged to come dressed as their favorite princess or prince.

The Bears (18-7, 10-4) face the Red Raiders (13-13, 5-9) to close the season series on Wednesday, BU winning in Lubbock, 3-0, on November 6.

Leading the way for the Bears through 25 matches are senior outside hitter McGhee (x kills, x aces), senior libero Briseño (x digs), graduate transfer setter Jackie Barrett Frazier (x assists) and senior middle blocker Alicia Andrew (x blocks).

BU is 112-48 in Big 12 matches under McGuyre and has raked in 238 Big 12 wins overall since 1996.

Saturday’s match will be streamed on ESPN+ at 7 p.m. CT with Pete Sousa and Camryn Freiberg on the call. Live stats will be available at BaylorStats.com, with a full recap and final box score uploaded to BaylorBears.com after the conclusion of the match.

Fans interested in purchasing tickets for home matches can visit BaylorBears.com/Tickets. All seats are general admission at the Ferrell Center, with the student section behind the team benches and on the end lines. Seats are first-come, first-served and doors open 60 minutes before match time.
