* Baylor dominated Utah Tech, 97-34, on Wednesday morning for the program’s sixth-straight win, the 10th of the season.
* The Bears hosted 6,149, the second-largest women’s basketball crowd at Foster Pavilion, for Future Bears Day. 3,000 students from 19 local elementary and junior high schools were in attendance.
* BU forced the lowest-scoring game in Utah Tech history, beating the previous record set of 35 points at Oregon (11/14/22).
* UT had zero scorers in double digits, the second time this season for a Baylor opponent and the sixth time for the Trailblazers since joining the NCAA, second since the jump to DI.
* Utah Tech’s 31 turnovers were the most by an opposing team since McNeese State’s 30 on Nov. 24, 2023.
* The Trailblazer’s 16 points in the first half tied the lowest allowed this season from Baylor.
* Utah Tech had 10:02 of play without a field goal between 7:05 in the first quarter and 7:03 in the second. During that time, the only point came from one appearance at the free throw line.
* Baylor shot 52.2% from the floor, good enough to pick up its 275th win when shooting 50 percent or better.
* It was BU’s 375th win since 2010-11 by more than 10 points.
* The Bears’ 13 3-pointers were the second-most this season, behind a 15-triple performance against Southern Miss.
* BU had an 18-unanswered point run in the second and third quarters, the third-best of the season.
* Baylor picks up its first win over the Trailblazers all-time.
* Nicki Collen is 84-30 in her fourth season leading the Bears.
* Collen is 18-2 in the month of December.
* Baylor moves to 8-0 at home this season and picked up its 15th win at Foster Pavilion.
* Every healthy and eligible Bear scored in Wednesday’s contest.
* Yaya Felder paced the Bears’ scoring efforts for the third time this season with 18, highlighted by four beyond the arc. She picked up four rebounds with six assists in 27 minutes.
* Darianna Littlepage-Buggs had her 10th double-figure game in 12 appearances this year so far, getting 16 points at 80% from the floor. Her five steals led BU in the category with five rebounds.
* Bella Fontleroy, Sarah Andrews and Waiata Jennings each scored 11 points against the Trailblazers. It was Jennings’ first game at the DI level to end in double figures, Fontleroy’s sixth of the season and Andrews’ eighth.
* Jennings also had a career day with her first block and career-high steals (four).
* Aaronette Vonleh narrowly missed double figures with nine on the morning, added with five rebounds and four assists.
* Jada Walker dished out six assists with nine points and a pair of steals.
* Madison Bartley’s five points were boosted from a 3-of-4 record from the charity stripe, matching her season-best free throw appearance.
* Kyla Abraham collected four points and seven rebounds, tied for the team lead on Wednesday.
* Freshman Kayla Nelms nailed her first career 3-pointer in her only three points of the day. Nelms put together a couple pairs of offensive and defensive rebounds.
* Baylor started Jada Walker, Sarah Andrews, Darianna Littlepage-Buggs, Aaronette Vonleh and Bella Fontleroy for the 12th time this season in as many games.
* Walker is 36-10, Andrews is 81-31, Littlepage-Buggs is 48-17, Fontleroy is 31-12 and Vonleh is 10-2 as starters at Baylor.
* Baylor heads to Lawrence to open up conference play against the Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday at 4 p.m. ESPN+ will carry coverage of the matchup with radio, as always, on FOX Sports Central Texas.
