Hey everyone,

No. 18 Baylor volleyball invites you to media availability tomorrow, Thursday, 9/21, at 9:40am in the Ferrell Center media room.

Head coach Ryan McGuyre and select student-athletes will be available to answer questions ahead of our Big 12 conference opener with No. 10 BYU on Saturday in Provo.

Please use the LOADING DOCK entrance to the Ferrell Center.

Early notes

  *   BYU and the Bears have only faced each other once previously in program history, winning in five sets in 2017 (9/9/17, Outrigger Resorts Challenge @ Hawaii)
     *   BYU was ranked No. 10 at the time while BU was receiving votes
  *   Baylor is 92-36 in Big 12 play under McGuyre
  *   BU has a 5-3 record in Big 12 openers overall and 4-4 record when opening on the road (both under McGuyre)
  *   In the Big 12 preseason rankings, Texas was #1, BYU #2 and Baylor #3
  *   The league has the highest percentage of teams ranked in the AVCA poll for the second week in a row with six (#9 UT, #10 BYU, #17 KU, #18 BU, #20 UH, #25 ISU)
  *   Alicia Andrew tied both the BU school record & the Big 12 record for hitting percentage in a 3 set match with 1.000, going 10-for-10 against SFA
