CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico – Johnny Keefer shot an 8-under 63 on Tuesday, helping the Bears to a third-round 276 and a 12th-place finish at the Cabo Collegiate.

BU improved its score each round as a team, resulting in a 9-under 843 for the week.

Keefer became the first Baylor golfer to shoot 63 since Garrett May did it in 2017 and is just the third player in program history to do so. Starting on the 10th-hole, Keefer made the turn at 3-under par with a birdie at the par-4 18th. That birdie was the start of a stretch of five in a row and nine birdies overall in his final round.

Mark Reppe also shot his way into red figures on Tuesday with a 1-under 71 on the strength of three birdies and an eagle. The senior from Dallas finished the week in a tie for 48th place.

Luke Morgan shot his second even-par round of the tournament with a 71 in the final round. This spring, he has shot par or better in five of his six stroke-play rounds.

Trey Bosco finished up a solid week with a 1-over par 72. Bosco recorded his career-best 54-hole score of 215, seven shots better than his previous best.

Zach Heffernan shot a 2-over 73 to finish in a tie for 48th but recorded the best 54-hole score of his young career with a 215, 11 shots better than his previous best of 226 set at the Colonial Collegiate Invitational this past fall.

Vanderbilt Captured the team title with a score of 820 (-32), edging out Texas Tech, which shot 822 (-30). Vanderbilt's Cole Sherwood won the individual title with a 17-under 196 on the strength of a 61 in the final round.
