No. 2 Baylor Men’s Tennis Adds ACU for Monday Doubleheader
Bears host doubleheader vs. ACU and Boise State for first home matches

WACO, Texas – No. 2 Baylor men’s tennis has rescheduled its previously postponed match with Abilene Christian for Monday, Jan. 24, at 11 a.m. CT at the Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center.

The match will be played as the front end of a home-opening doubleheader. Following the 11 a.m. match vs. ACU, the Bears will take on Boise State at 4 p.m. BU is 25-1 all-time in home openers dating back to 1996.

The Bears come into Monday’s doubleheader with a perfect 2-0 record, sweeping Creighton 7-0 and earning a 6-1 win over Nebraska. No. 48th-ranked senior Sven Lah will head into the doubleheader needing only two doubles wins to reach 100 career doubles victories.

Lah and Finn Bass, the No. 18-ranked doubles duo, won both their doubles matches this weekend against Creighton and Nebraska in the No. 1 position. Matias Soto and Juan Pablo Grassi Mazzuchi won both their No. 2 doubles matches. In singles play, Lah, Bass, Mazzuchi and Adrian Boitan each won both of their singles matches, Boitan’s both coming in the No. 1 slot. Cole Gromley went 1-1 for the week while Jacob Brumm and Soto both picked up one win apiece.
