Baylor MBB Places Three on Academic All-Big 12 Teams

WACO, Texas – Three Baylor men's basketball student-athletes have been named to the Academic All-Big 12 teams, as announced Tuesday by the conference office.
Senior Mitchell Paul represented Baylor on the first team, while Adam Flagler and Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua garnered second-team honors.
First-team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA, while the second team selections hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA. The 2022 team consists of 32 student-athletes, including 19 first-team honorees and 13 members on the second team.

Paul, an accounting major from Leawood, Kan., walked on prior to this season. This recognition is his first Big 12 award.
Flagler, a health science studies major, and Tchamwa Tchatchoua, an environmental health science major, both made the second team for the second-consecutive season.

Baylor has now had 26 first-team honorees earned by 18 different players and 19 second-team selections by 13 different players.
The No. 10 Bears return to action on Saturday when they host No. 5 Kansas at 7 p.m. CT at the Ferrell Center, in a fourth top-10 matchup this season. Prior to the game, ESPN’s College Gameday will return to Waco for the second time in three seasons. The hour-long show will begin at 10 a.m. CT on ESPN. Dan Shulman, Jay Bilas and Holly Rowe will be on the call that night. The game will be a whiteout with t-shirts provided to all fans in attendance.
