IRVING, Texas – Baylor women’s golf had four players named to the 2022 Academic All-Big 12 Team, announced Wednesday by the Conference office.

Rosie Belsham, Hannah Karg, Gurleen Kaur and Britta Snyder all garnered First-Team honors, with Karg and Kaur making a repeat-appearances on the First Team.

Kaur collected her fifth-straight Academic All-Big 12 distinction and her third-straight year on the First Team. She was named to the Second Team in 2019 and the Rookie team in 2018. The marketing major from Houston is the only five-time All-Big 12 selection in program history.

After being named to the Rookie Team in 2021, Karg made the jump to the First Team this year, where she was joined by Belsham and Snyder.

Players are eligible for Academic All-Big 12 First and Second Teams after they've completed a full year in residence. The Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team is released in the summer when freshman Antonia Matte and BaiMai Seema will be eligible.
BU has now had 99 Academic All-Big 12 Team honorees in the league's 25-year history, 64 of which were First-Team selections. Baylor has had 14 Academic All-Big 12 Second-Team honorees, three honorable mention selections and 16 Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team members.
BU has placed at least three golfers on Academic All-Big 12 Teams in nine-consecutive seasons, and the Bears have earned 60 total honors during the 11-year tenure of head coach Jay Goble after combining for 37 honors in the league's first 15 years.
To qualify for Academic All-Big 12 Teams, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence.
