Subject: Credential Portal Now Open for 2021 Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship

The credential application is now open for the 2021 Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship, which will be held May 25-30, at Oklahoma City’s Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. As a reminder, this year’s Championship starts on Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. CT with a contest between the No. 8/9 seeds. The credential application deadline is Tuesday, May 18.

There will not be an in-person media luncheon in 2021. A virtual press conference will either be scheduled for Monday, May 24 or Tuesday, May 25. More details will follow soon.

Media attendance at the 2021 Championship will be extremely limited due to local COVID-19 attendance policies. Approved media will be provided one press box seat for the game(s) in which the institution they cover is participating. There will not be a media overflow section. These approved outlets must pick up their credential and wristband at the box office prior to entering the stadium. Per venue guidelines, a face covering must be worn at all times.

Media will not be allowed on the Event Level or have field or locker room access.

This year, a virtual credential option is available for media members that are unable to attend in-person or not approved for in-person access.

A limited photo/video work space will be provided in the press box. All postgame press conferences will be handled via Zoom and coordinated by participating institutions.

All photographers and videographers will not be allowed to shoot from the photo boxes due to protocols. These individuals are allowed to roam the concourse and stands as long as they wear a face mask, adhere to social distancing and do not interrupt the fan experience or disrupt the event.

All media information, including game-day statistics, final books and team notes, will be provided in a Dropbox or by email. Hard copies of information will not be distributed or available on-site.
