2020-21 Baylor Volleyball | Ferrell Center Media Information

To media visiting the Ferrell Center during the 2020-21 Baylor Volleyball season:

This season’s Ferrell Center media operations will be altered in conjunction with the other Big 12 schools in order to provide a safe environment while covering Baylor Volleyball.


A Box link containing important media materials is available to you at http://baylorbea.rs/BaylorVB21. Please bookmark this link to save as it will be updated weekly with game notes and pregame press conferences, as well as during/after a match with pictures (please credit Baylor Athletics), box scores, video highlights and the full postgame press conference.

PRIOR TO ARRIVAL

  *   All media personnel are required to wear a mask upon entering the arena. Media must bring their own masks. Temperatures will be checked upon entry.
  *   Media members must self-screen<https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html> prior to coming to Ferrell Center.
  *   Doors will open one hour prior to first serve.
  *   Credentials will be issued on a single-game basis. Media members can request credentials by contacting Max Calderone (Max_Calderone at baylor.edu<mailto:Max_Calderone at baylor.edu>) no later than noon the day before a home match. We will do our best to accommodate requests as media seating is limited.
  *   Credentials can be picked up at the media entrance through the loading dock tunnel at Ferrell Center.
  *   Media credentials will be valid for media seating. The media room at Ferrell Center will be closed. Court access may be permitted as outlined below.

PREGAME AT FERRELL CENTER

  *   Media will not be allowed within 20 feet of the team bench areas.
  *   Per Big 12 guidelines, a maximum of four (4) external photographers/videographers may be granted court access. Those permitted will be restricted to an assigned box and will not be permitted to shoot or walk behind the team bench areas. Proper social distancing guidelines will be enforced and upper photo positions away from the playing court will be recommended.
     *   Photographers/Videographers will be permitted to shoot from the stands. Please do not impede the sightlines of any fans.
  *   Pool photographers will be utilized to disseminate content to media outlets. Baylor Athletics Communications will provide media members a Box link (listed above) to access digital materials.
  *   If you would like to record the broadcast feed, an SDI recording station will be available in the tunnel near the loading dock.
     *   BaylorVision TV Clean Feed
        *   Broadcast feed with no scorebug. 720p.
        *   BaylorVision will do their best to include a separate audio feed of just natural sounds.
     *   BaylorVision will also upload a few individual highlight clips for TV media that will include footage of both teams. These will be the full broadcast feed with scorebug and announcers. If any media members have a specific request for video from a game, please communicate that to Max and we will do the best we can to help out.
  *   There will not be any printed game materials. Instead, QR codes will be available that link to both teams’ rosters and match notes.

POSTGAME

·       Baylor’s postgame press conferences will be conducted via Zoom. Head coach Ryan McGuyre and select student-athletes will be available for questions following the cooling off period.

·       A recording of the press conference will be distributed through the Box link.
